The COVID-19 virus is impacting every aspect of our lives, forcing greater and wider precautions to protect everyones well-being. Because the Fayette County Civitan Club believes that the health and safety of all others comes first and foremost, we have postponed this years Old Courthouse 5K till Saturday, Sept 12, 2020.

The Old Courthouse 5K is presented by The Georgia Civitan Foundation and the Fayette County Civitan Club.
Runners from all over the Atlanta metro area will spend their morning enjoying the competition, the fun, the fellowship and most importantly, the opportunity to contribute to those that need assisstance the most. This will be the Fayette County Civitan Clubs 28th OC5K.
The run is open to all runners from all levels of ability. Come sign up and begin supporting wonderful community organizations that provide vital services to the special needs citizens of Fayette and neighboring counties. As always, there will be the crazy fantastic door prizes, refreshments, fun and the famous OC5K t-shirts for all registered participants, whether you finish the run or not.
The run will begin at 8:00am, at the Fayette County Senior Services Center located at the Fayette County Justice Center, 4 Center Drive in Fayetteville. Day of Race Registration opens @ 7:00am. See our OC5K Latest pages for the day of event schedule in further detail.
Proceeds from the event will aide organizations that serve the medically fragile and special abilities of our community. Some are The Joseph Sams School, Fayette ExceptionalOPS, Fayette County Special Olympics, and Southwest Christian Care (Hospice, Hope House, Senior Care, Children's Respite and Spiritual Care), and Camp Big Heart(http://campbigheart.org).
To present a road race event that will raise financial contributions for and promote awareness of the needs for the most
fragile citizens in our community and beyond, through competition, fellowship and fun in the safest way possible.
To exceed the previous year’s net revenue by growing runner participation each year by 10%,
expanding sponsorship partnerships and trimming event expenses.
